Barry Thomas, Managing Director


Magda Kontek, CEO/Finance Manager

Magda has over 10 years’ experience within a finance role. She manages the accounts of the Faraday Training Group while finding the time to also study towards an ACCA qualification. Magda also takes on the role of CEO ensuring every part of the company is running smoothly on a day to day basis.

Ian Pattinson, Commercial Manager

Ian has a wealth of commercial knowledge and over five decades of industrial experience. Ian is the ‘go to guy’ for any customer enquiries requiring significant technical development, this can include one off bespoke training courses or recurring annual training packages for our loyal clients.

Stuart Corner, Technical Sales Manager

Stuart focuses on sales and customer enquiries from the Middle East, Africa and the UK. Stuart’s role entails acting as liaison for the development and delivery of bespoke courses held either on-site at client’s international premises or at The Faraday Training Group’s fully equipped training centres.

Kelly-Anne Corner, Marketing & Sales Executive

Kelly’s responsibilities include processing all bookings and reviewing and handling customer enquiries. Kelly liaises directly with clients advising on various matters and ensuring they always know she’s there to help.

Hannah Thomas, Project Manager

Hannah is managing the upcoming move to our new purpose designed premises, which will be complete in September 2017.

The Faraday Training Group’s three facilities will be merging into one state-of-the-art headquarters, Hannah is managing the move and facilitating the expansion and growth of the Faraday Training Group as the new premises will be nearly double the current operating area.

Stefan Zaitschenko, Technical Author

Stefan is a protection and generator expert with over 35 years’ experience in industry. As Technical Author, he is responsible for the preparation of course materials including course notes, presentations, practical exercises and assessments. Stefan ensures the bespoke content he produces meets client’s requirements.

Mike Walker, Principal Lecturer

Mike specialises in protection based courses, utilising over 40 years’ worth of experience as a lecturer and assessor. Mike is also heavily involved in onsite training for some of our longest standing clients, this includes extensive work in Tanzania and Ghana.

Andy Robertson, Lead Tutor

Andy brings 25 years of experience working in the heavy steel industry, having held roles at The Coil Plate Mill in Lackenby, Hartlepool Nuclear Power Station and Port Clarence, Teesside in which he commissioned high voltage and low voltage systems and was a senior authorised person and trainer.

Stuart Wood, Lead Tutor

Stuart has over 40 years’ experience working as an electrical engineer within the steel industry, in which he was responsible for managing major project work and plant shutdown periods; all aspects of high voltage and low voltage maintenance; inspections, upgrades and fault finding; as well as process control operations including automation, instrumentation and AC and DC drive control.

David Jameson, Lecturer

David is a time served electrician, with in-depth industry knowledge, having previously worked as a ground electrical technician in the RAF for more than 20 years and at TTE where he held posts as an instructor, trainer and assessor as well as a Compex instructor.

David boasts numerous industry qualifications including HNC Electrical Engineering, A1 Assessor Award and a PGCE.

Alan Jones, Lecturer

With a total of 14 years teaching experience, Alan specializes in Low Voltage training such as PAT Testing and 17th Edition training courses, as well as carrying out The Faraday Training Group’s High Voltage training courses, putting his 26 years of industrial experience to good use.
