Introduction
This two day course covers the generation of electricity from first principles. Starting with Fleming’s Right Hand Rule and progressing to through to modern brushless generators. The course will also include the operation of generators, synchronising and protection of generators. This is a classroom based course with no practical content except for the use of simulators.
Participants
Electrical engineers / technicians responsible for the operation and maintenance of electrical generators.
Aim
To provide deeper technical information on the varying range of plant generation, the safe operation and protection of generators in an electrical power system.

Certification
Candidates who successfully complete the theoretical and practical competence assessments will receive a Faraday “Competence” certificate. Candidates who fail or do not wish to undertake the competence assessments will receive a Faraday “Attendance” certificate.
