Inspection, Testing & Reporting of Domestic Electrical Installations (NIC DPIR)

Introduction

The course is designed to allow already registered 'DISQ' scheme personnel to progress further and allow them to issue an electrical report on a domestic property. Based on successful completion of this course, the candidate will be required to undertake a half day onsite assessment undertaken by the NICEIC area engineer. Based on the successful outcome of this assessment, the area engineer could recommend the acceptance to the scheme. It is a requirement of the course that candidates bring along a copy of the BS7671(2008) IEE 17th Edition Wiring Regulations, a copy of the IEE On-site Guide and a copy of Guidance Note 3 as well as any relevant NICEIC technical publications

Participants

Working electrical personnel who would like to be responsible for the inspection, testing and reporting of domestic electrical installations. Participants must be registered with the NICEIC DISQ scheme and are required to possess relevant experience as well as hold City & Guilds 2382-10, 2382-20 and 2391 or 2392-20, or equivalent qualification.
