I completed a power systems protection course (P1) with the Faraday centre not long into the start of my employment when first out of university. Since then, I have been involved with protection through a range of different experiences from protection setting to protection design and find that I regularly look back to the theory that I was taught on this course as a basis for my input. I found it to be a very interesting and comprehensive course run by people who knew the concepts and products inside out. This has been very valuable for my career to date and I have no doubt that will continue into the future.
I have been working with The Faraday Centre since September 2010 when I was recruited as a Training Coordinator for Modec Ghana. Faraday does not have a signed contract with Modec Ghana but due to good relations, Faraday is willing and able to arrange training from the beginning to the end for Modec Ghana. Visa letter requests are prompt and emails are responded to ASAP. Faraday books hotel and arranges airport pickups on behalf of Modec Ghana.
I would readily recommend anyone to Faraday for training and would not consider any other Centre. Training is as per industry requirements and quality is good.
Having research a number of specialist Training Providers it became logical to move the Faraday Centre to the default choice. As part of a progressive training strategy towards achieving full authorisation the first step of demonstrating progression was to attend the S9 course, this course gives a more practical ‘hands on’ understanding of various generations and types of switchgear from many manufacturers and highlights the necessary crucial steps both leading up to and also performing switching operations. This progressive route will lead onto the S4 course following some on site experience with supervision of SAP’s – I look forward to moving down this route and re-visiting the Faraday Centre in the future.
