Course Overview
This course covers the safe access to electrical substations and switchrooms and working in the vicinity of high voltage electrical equipment. It highlights electrical hazards and the precautions necessary to avoid danger. The course also covers the arrangement of equipment within substations and switchrooms. It includes competency in safe access procedures and receipt of appropriate safety documents.
Who should attend?
Electrical/non-electrical personnel with no previous experience of electrical power systems, who require restricted authorisation to allow access to areas containing high voltage electrical apparatus with a view to undertaking specific duties.
Certification
Candidates who successfully complete the course and both theoretical and practical assessments will receive a Faraday Centre competence certificate and a certificate of verified achievement issued by EAL. Candidates who fail the competence assessment will receive a Faraday Centre attendance certificate.

Payment terms
