Course Overview
This two day introductory course covers the generation of electricity from first principles. Starting with Fleming’s right hand rule and progressing through to modern brushless generators. The course also includes the operation, synchronising and protection of generators. This is a classroom based course with no practical content except for the use of computerised simulators.
Who should attend?
Electrical personnel responsible for the operation and maintenance of electrical generators.
Course Aims
To provide information on the varying range of plant generation, the safe operation and protection of generators in an electrical power system.
Certification
Delegates who successfully complete the course and the theoretical assessment will receive a Faraday Training Group competence certificate. Delegates who fail or do not wish to undertake the competence assessment will receive a Faraday Training Group attendance certificate.
