NHSHVAP – The Safe Operation of High Voltage Power Systems (Full High Voltage Authorisation) to comply with HTM 06 – 03
This course provides an understanding of Hospital high and low voltage power systems including statutory regulations, safe operation, protection and fault diagnosis on a wide range of power equipment. It also enables candidates to perform HV switching operations on industrial HV networks up to and including 15kV, and prepares them for HV authorisation in accordance with HTM 06 - 03.

This training programme requires a good foundation of electrical knowledge. It is designed to bring candidates up to a competency level suitable for LV authorised person in accordance with HTM 06 - 02.

This course covers the design, construction and operation of induction, synchronous, and variable-speed low voltage AC motors including techniques for motor starting and operation. The course includes both theoretical and practical operation and testing of three phase motors.

LV1 – The Safe Operation of Low Voltage Power Systems (LOTO)
This course is designed to provide guidance on the safe isolation of single-ended low voltage circuits and electrical equipment (up to 1000V AC / 1500V DC). The course aims to assist employers and employees to reduce the risk of personal injury, due to electric shock and arc flash and also to help prevent damage to assets due to operator error.

LV5 – Refresher in the Safe Operation of Low Voltage Power Systems (Authorised Person)
This course is designed to refresh the knowledge, skills and experience of the candidates relating to safe practices and legislation applicable to low voltage power systems. It enables candidates to perform advanced LV switching operations on industrial LV networks up to 1000 volts AC and 1500 volts DC. It includes both classroom theory and practical exercises.

WT4 – The Safe Operation of High Voltage Power Systems on Wind Turbines (Authorised Person)
This course provides an understanding of renewable energy industry high voltage power systems including statutory regulations, safe operation, protection and fault diagnosis. It enables candidates to perform advanced HV and LV switching operations on HV networks up to and including 36kV. It also prepares them for HV authorisation in accordance with their company’s safety rules/regulations. It includes both classroom theory and practical exercises.

BUP – Basic Electrical Upskilling
This course is designed to enhance the candidate’s knowledge of statutory regulations, codes of practice, safety procedures and technical aspects of low voltage power systems. Its aim is to raise the level of safety awareness for persons working on or in the vicinity of electrical low voltage equipment. This course covers safety rules, regulations and guidelines related to current legislation.

T1E – High Voltage Cable Sheath Testing
This course covers the theoretical and practical principles of sheath testing on high voltage distribution systems, with emphasis placed upon safety requirements and interpretation of test results.
