Introducing the H1 at our First Hybrid Exhibiton

Stuart Corner, our Technical Sales Manager, recently attended the Electric & Hybrid Marine World Expo at Amsterdam RAI, June 6-8 2017. Here he gives an overview of the events success.

Myself and David Jameson, Lecturer at The Faraday Centre, recently attended and exhibited at the Electric & Hybrid Marine World Expo in Amsterdam, an event which is dedicated to showcasing the latest electric and hybrid marine propulsion technologies, components and solutions.

Throughout the exhibition, it became very clear that The Faraday Centre was very well known globally and that there was substantial interest in our standard, bespoke and particularly our Hybrid offerings, and the fact that most could also be delivered at the customer’s premises using their equipment.

We were really impressed with the quality of the exhibitors and attendees, for example I met the ex-Commander of the United Kingdom Task Group, the highest seagoing command in the Royal Navy.

With plenty of visitors to our stand, we had the perfect opportunity to discuss our recently launched Hybrid Electrical Safety and Isolation courses. We even asked for suggestions for the content of our proposed five-day Hybrid Authorised/Competent Person course, and received great feedback such as ensuring we maintain it as a “principles of” rather than a manufacturers type course.

All in all, a highly successful exhibition. So much so, we have already signed up for next years show!
