Course Overview

This course is intended to provide theoretical and practical instruction on the maintenance, repair and subsequent testing of HV/LV switchgear of various types, up to and including 15kV. Delegates should bring clothing and footwear suitable for maintenance exercises.

Who should attend?

Electrical and mechanical personnel with a responsibility for the maintenance of HV/LV electrical switchgear.

Course Aims

To provide delegates with an understanding of the functional and operational requirements of HV/LV electrical switchgear.


Delegates who successfully complete the course and both theoretical and practical assessments will receive a Faraday Training Group competence certificate. Delegates who fail or do not wish to undertake the competence assessments will receive a Faraday Training Group attendance certificate.
