NHSLVAP – The Safe Operation of Low Voltage Power Systems to comply with HTM 06 – 02
This training programme requires a good foundation of electrical knowledge. It is designed to bring candidates up to a competency level suitable for LV authorised person in accordance with HTM 06 - 02.
MTR – Appreciation of Low Voltage Three Phase Motors Principles & Protection
This course covers the design, construction and operation of induction, synchronous, and variable-speed low voltage AC motors including techniques for motor starting and operation. The course includes both theoretical and practical operation and testing of three phase motors.
LV1 – The Safe Operation of Low Voltage Power Systems (LOTO)
This course is designed to provide guidance on the safe isolation of single-ended low voltage circuits and electrical equipment (up to 1000V AC / 1500V DC). The course aims to assist employers and employees to reduce the risk of personal injury, due to electric shock and arc flash and also to help prevent damage to assets due to operator error.
LV5 – Refresher in the Safe Operation of Low Voltage Power Systems (Authorised Person)
This course is designed to refresh the knowledge, skills and experience of the candidates relating to safe practices and legislation applicable to low voltage power systems. It enables candidates to perform advanced LV switching operations on industrial LV networks up to 1000 volts AC and 1500 volts DC. It includes both classroom theory and practical exercises.
